Our MQP was completed in collaboration with Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives. When analyzing how we could help MBI, the solution became clear. The Information Systems at MBI needed to be reconstructed and updated. We focused on implementing a new system architecture, using Virtual Private Networking, building a new database, and documenting procedures for e-mail, network, and backup and recovery maintenance. We used our skills to analyze MBI's problems, develop a solution, and implement the new developed system.
