Transgenic animals have come to be a potential answer to some of the problems that plague the human race. Given this new technology, one can, in theory, cater this artificial being to produce new pharmaceuticals, serve as disease models to research cures, or serve as alternative food sources. But with this step of forced evolution comes the rise of ethical and legal battles. And only with these questions answered should transgenic animals proceed.
