Low power embedded systems investigation

Public

Several microprocessor families, which are suited for embedded instrumentation applications are investigated. In addition, different communication protocols for embedded systems are discussed, since communicating with a host and other systems is essential for this kind of application. Usually dedicated communications chips are used as modems. As an alternative approach, a software implementation of an FSK protocol was investigated in terms of feasibility. This method potentially makes it possible to decrease overall system cost and physical size.
