Measuring of LogP model parameters for performance assessment

Public

The goal of this MQP was to build a software implementation of a tool that quantifies the host-to-host performance of any given TCP/IP-based communication system. The LogP model for parallel systems, which characterizes performance using four parameters, provides a suitable basis for such an instrument. Targeting implementations based on both TCP and UDP-- the prominent transport protocols of TCP/IP-- we designed and constructed a portable implementation that classifies networked multiprocessor performance by measuring the LogP parameters.
