Electric Field Diagnostic Sensor Package for Spacecraft Charging

open in viewerThis project evaluated a prototype designed to measure phenomena associated with differential charging of spacecraft, specifically focusing on the electric field measurement. Through analysis and testing in a simulated space vacuum the team was able to address the minimization and optimization challenges of the current system. In addition to the existing analog approach, the team also addressed alternative digital approaches to the data collection process. This project was sponsored by SRI International.
