THE CASA PROJECT: An Assessment of Training Program Options

open in viewerThe CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Project is a non-profit organization that recruits volunteers to serve as advocates for children in the Juvenile Court system. They are considering a more accessible e-Learning platform in addition to their in-person training program. Our goal was to assess the current training program and recommend e-Learning platforms. We achieved this by observing training sessions, surveying current trainees, conducting key stakeholder interviews, and creating a comparative matrix that evaluated over 20 e-Learning platform options. We recommend that they use a free platform, such as WordPress, until they can acquire the resources needed to develop an e-Learning platform. For additional assistance, we suggest that they engage additional WPI IQP project teams.
