A comparison of bargaining strategies in a simulated market

Public

This project resulted in an agent-based simulation that was used to measure the effectiveness of automated bargaining strategies. The simulation was implemented in Java using the Ascape simulation tool. Ascape handled the more technical aspects of simulation implementation allowing the project members to focus on the intricacies of the market structure and bargaining strategies. By testing five buying strategies and two selling strategies it was found that the simulation model could serve as a tool for experimenting with different types of strategies.
