Dissecting Age Associated Disease in C. elegans

open in viewerUsing C. elegans as a model organism, the onset of movement defects stemming from age-associated neurodegenerative diseases was examined. Diseases studied included Alzheimer's and Huntington's diseases. It was found that, at approximately day 8 of the lifespan, movement defects began to appear in both disease models.
