Biological terrorism.

open in viewerThis project discusses the feasibility of and response to a large-scale covert bio-terrorist attack on the United States. Necessary background information was compiled, including historical incidents, likely bio-agents, and the roles of individual government agencies. We conclude that terrorist groups need state sponsorship in order to launch a successful large-scale attack. Flaws in the current response plans for the medical community and the government, as well as flaws of current bio-detection equipment, demonstrate the need for increased training and funding.
