The purpose of the project was introducing Teradyne to the use of decision trees as an objective decision making tool for their supply chain strategy. Probabilities of chance occurrences were elicited from subject matter experts and costs were assigned to each outcome. The result was a more objective decision tool for Teradyne to implement in its supply chain management strategy decision.
