Plays detailing the lives of historical scientists often reflect contemporary cultural trends and stereotypes associated with the scientific field. This paper examines the ways these characters are treated in dramatic literature and how this representation influences general opinion about real-life STEM workplaces. Main points of inquiry include recurring social stereotypes, gender, and mortality, with consideration on the balance between fact and fiction.
