Physical Chemistry of Synthetic Melanin and Melanin Films

open in viewerThis project will examine the photochemical properties of synthetic melanins. The melanins will be synthesized as colloidal particles and as ordered molecular films. In particular, the project will focus on the energy and electron transfer properties of melanin and will also look at the semiconductor properties of melanin films.
