This report, completed with Teradyne Connector Systems, focuses on the inventory control systems in production lines 81, 95, and 96. We examined the existing inventory control systems and then designed forecasting, safety stock and kanban inventory control methods to improve the current system. With the implementation of these new designs Teradyne will reduce excess inventory costs and minimize raw material shortages.
