Small Animal Euthanasia: Analyzing Euthanasia Protocols
PúblicoContenido Descargable
open in viewerEuthanasia is part of a veterinarian’s job; a veterinarian may euthanize more than 1,000 animals in his/her career. Yet there is little research in identifying best practices of pet euthanasia. Veterinarians were surveyed about practices/protocols, access to learning materials about euthanasia, and personal and practice demographics. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data will inform future research with the intent of identifying characteristics, interpersonal and technical, that support good outcomes for patients, clients and providers.
