Formula SAE chassis design

Public

The goals for this year's SAE Car Chassis design were to provide a stiff platform for transfer for cornering forces, while minimizing unsupported members, and to provide an optimal driver interface. This was achieved through the use of finite element analysis software, incorporation of previous years' design strengths, and a close examination of the rules for the competition. This resulted in a car that is much stiffer than last year's, with a cockpit of similar, yet improved layout.
