Pedestrian Avoidance for Indoor Robots
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerThe goal of this project is to design and implement a pedestrian detection and avoidance solution for indoor robots. The team utilized a TurtleBot robot running ROS, with onboard sensors of RealSense Camera and Velodyne Lidar. The robot system is able to maneuver autonomously in an indoor environment, recognizing pedestrians and automatically generating new routes to avoid the moving pedestrians. The team conducted a number of experiments to evaluate the functionality and reliability of the prototype system. The project will create a safer environment for human robot interactions.
