open in viewerThe goal of the project was to improve DEI practices in computing departments and programs at Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a particular focus on the Computer Science Department. The project expands on previous research performed at WPI and similar institutions with 84 survey responses and several student and professor interviews capturing the overall experience of individuals in the field of computing at the school. The final deliverable for the project was a set of recommendations aimed at improving DEI practices and other aspects of computing culture to ensure students have a supportive, welcoming, and exciting experience.
