EarlySense, a medical device company located in Ramat Gan, Israel, has several hospital- patient monitoring systems on the market and a sleep-monitoring sensor for consumer use in the final stages of production. Because EarlySense outsources all of its production to manufacturers throughout Israel and its customers are global, maintaining effective Supply Chain processes is vital to the company’s well-being. Delays were identified in three Supply Chain related processes: Customer Orders, Returned Merchandise Authorizations and Engineering Change Orders. Through interviews, each process was mapped and a root cause analysis was conducted to determine potential areas for improvement and ultimately, make recommendations for change.
