The world today is governed by many aspects of human activity, the most prominent and widespread being economy. The development of the ISO 14000 environmental management standards is one step in the recognition of the effect economy has on its natural surroundings and the apprehension that something must be done to protect them both from each other. This report analyzes the ISO 14000 standards on multiple levels, from its creation, to a breakdown of the individual components and their role in the global and national market.
