In partnership with the Costa Rican Chamber of Industries (CICR), this project pioneers a comprehensive guide designed to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Costa Rica to embrace and implement enhanced sustainability practices. By synthesizing insights from extensive interviews and surveys, the guide delineates actionable steps for SMEs to advance their sustainability journey, encompassing the economic, environmental, and social pillars that are foundational to holistic sustainable development. The guide advocates for continued collaboration between the CICR and SMEs, urging the CICR to use its platform for showcasing easily adoptable, successful sustainability initiatives and for sharing narratives of both challenges and triumphs in Costa Rica's SME sustainability endeavors.
