Effect of Dust Deflagrations on Human Skin
PúblicoContenido Descargable
open in viewerThe aim of the study is to determine the damage done to human skin by a dust explosion in comparison to a gas explosion. This is achieved by using two different experimental methods, the steady state pre-heat and the flame velocity technique. In both of the experiments for a gas flame, the temperatures were determined for four different equivalence ratios. In the experiment for a dust flame, the temperatures were determined for one equivalence ratio. Results for the dust and gas flames are in good agreement for radiation and convection heat transfer. In addition, the factors that influence the heat flux from a dust flame are analyzed.
