CDMA low noise amplifiers

Public

Two low noise amplifiers were built to prove the usability of Philips' fifth generation transistors in domestic CDMA receiver channel applications (900 MHz and 2 GHz). Both amplifiers were designed using HP EES of Series IV version 6.6 non-linear circuit modeling software and are class A, single-stage amplifiers. The amplifiers were made using a rapid-prototyping board router, and tested for performance. Philips Discrete Semiconductors of Mansfield, Massachusetts sponsored this project.
