The Beecology Project is dedicated to tracking pollinator populations using a web application where citizen scientists can upload their observations of bumblebee-flower and more recently butterfly-flower interactions. This project extends the data analysis tools available on the Beecology data analysis website to be able to visualize user-submitted butterfly-flower observation data. Far fewer bee species are tracked than butterflies, which necessitated the development of a taxonomy based data selection interface which organizes butterfly species by subfamily and family. Additionally, new data analysis tools were developed at the family level using Angular frameworks making use of the existing API to develop a butterfly query-record model.
