The design of the chassis and suspension systems for an SAE formula race car

Public

For this MQP, a chassis and suspension for an SAE formula race car was designed and built. The new design improves upon previous WPI cars in several ways. By implementing various design strategies, the torsional strength of the chassis was increased. The second system created was the suspension. The suspension is a modified pull-rod system that adds strength and handling to the car. Since we were designing for an autocross race, all designs created took this into consideration.
