The purpose of Power System Integrity project is to provide a means of automatically notifying Power Companies of the location of downed or sagging distribution lines. The system will consist of two components: devices that will monitor lines to detect problems, and a controller that will inform the company when and where a problem is detected. This project focused on the design of the device that will monitor the distribution lines, while specifications for the controller were contrived.
