Differential gene expression in a rheumatoid arthritis mouse model
PublicThe purpose of this MQP was to use a subtraction hybridization technique to assay gene products upregulated in an arthritic mouse model. The feasibility of using this complex technique was verified on Jurkat cells treated to upregulate several genes, including those for interferon-gamma and interleukin-2. Several T-lymphocyte activation-related genes were identified by cloning and sequencing. This technique applied to the arthritic model found several inflammation-related genes upregulated.
