Selective lipid staining in paint cross sections

This project is a technical study, [using] scientific techniques, of painting cross sections performed in conjunction with the Worcester Art Museum. Specifically, microscopic visualizations of the cross sections stained with biological fluorochrome stains specific for lipids were utilized in this analysis. Staining selectivity and accuracy using different stains and carrier solvents were identified in this study.
