Engaging Worcester Cathedral Visitors on Green Living

open in viewerWe worked with Worcester Cathedral to develop and recommend messages and strategies to engage visitors in practical steps for green living and the environment. We segmented visitors through semi-structured surveys to help identify their attitudes toward the climate crisis. We conducted semi-structured interviews with Cathedral staff members to understand how to use the Cathedral's history, heritage, and architecture to engage the visitors in the environment. We found that the majority of the Cathedral’s visitors were aware of climate change. We recommend that Worcester Cathedral implement more eco-related signage, highlight eco-locations in their brochures, and train their tour guides on the new eco-locations to help encourage green living for their visitors.
