Leveraging Tourist Rentals to Make Housing Affordable for Venetians: A Feasibility Study of Casa Peota and Fairbnb
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerThis project identifies how Venetians can leverage income from tourist rentals so that residents and visitors can stay in Venice sustainably and affordably. We assessed the housing and short-term rental markets in Venice. Income from tourist rentals covers the gap between what Venetians can afford and the cost of housing. This project is the foundation for Casa Peota, which will help Venetians to finance housing, and for Fairbnb, a platform for short-term rentals that makes social contributions to the community.
