The goals of this project were to develop a useful method to assess the teamwork and leadership skills of students participating in an off-campus project and to document the growth of these skills. Students completing their IQPs in Bangkok, Thailand were asked to complete several short surveys during the preparation and on-site stages of their projects. Our method was logistically feasible. We were able to measure growth in teamwork skills, but our results did not show improvement in leadership skills.
