Development of a computer controlled anesthesia machine for mice
公开The objective of this project was to design a self-sufficient gas regulation system that could be monitored and controlled via a computer interface for a small animal anesthesia machine. The design of this equipment is essential for research applications involving animal models. The project team designed and built a Copper Kettle style vaporizer and gas mixer, and utilized virtual instrumentation technology for the user interface. The system successfully controlled the gas flow and the desired level of anesthesia.
