Fresh Water News, an online nonpartisan news source operated by Water Education Colorado, produced a news package about the Colorado River Compact in the context of the 100th anniversary of its signing to educate Coloradans about the document. Our team documented the impact of the Compact on the past, present, and future through archives, experiences, and interviews to create engaging educational transmedia content. To further the story, we recommended more intensive use of social media, the production of stories from marginalized stakeholders, and partnerships with water-focused institutions in Colorado.
