Cumulenes are chemical compounds containing consecutive double bonds. This study investigates the molecular structure and spectroscopic properties of tetraphenylhexapentaene, tetraphenylbutatriene, dibiphenylhexapentaene, and dibiphenylbutatriene. Spectral data were collected and compared to computational predictions. Tetraphenylhexapentaene was prepared by a multi-step process.
