The Jazz History Database is an organization at WPI that stores different recordings of jazz history, including songs and interviews. Since jazz is not a popular genre of music anymore, most of its formats are outdated and difficult to preserve. Because of this, we decided to use a new, modern format to preserve these recordings: virtual reality. We created a 3D virtual environment where players could listening to jazz records and explore the history in the environment. We did this in hopes of bringing re-popularizing jazz music and its history.
