open in viewerThe Modular Electric Skateboard (MESB) allows the user to attach components tailored to specific demands. The MESB is equipped with two motors controlled by a handheld RC controller and is capable of achieving speeds as high as 20 mph. The deck can be disassembled and reassembled by hand to swap out major mechanical components of the board. The board's electrical system includes a housing for mounting hot-swappable accessories, which can communicate to a database. A front end application was implemented that reads and writes to the aforementioned database, allowing visualization of aggregate data.
