Our team worked in Berlin, Germany with Über den Tellerrand, a non-profit organization working to integrate refugees into German society. We created a standardized evaluation tool for the organization to gauge the effectiveness of their “Cooking Class” program. To accomplish this, we conducted interviews with other integration based non-government organizations to learn about program evaluations and key Über den Tellerrand staff to understand the anticipated impacts for participants of the program. We then created and tested multiple iterations of the tool with participants. Using the data we collected and analyzed during our testing we were able to finalize the evaluation tool and generate recommendations for the “Cooking Class” program.
