This project is a ten-week simulation project designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the stock market using Investopedia, a virtual trading platform. Each student is given a starting capital of $100,000 to invest in stocks based on their research and analysis. Throughout the project, students engage in independent research to identify potential investment opportunities, study market trends, and develop investment strategies. They actively manage their virtual portfolios, monitor stock performance, and make informed decisions. Two portfolios were managed simultaneously during a five-week period: a buy and hold strategy portfolio and a momentum trading portfolio. The respective returns for each portfolio were 6.82% and 5.94%.
