System dynamics in Sterling, Massachusetts
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerDue to rapid growth and increased congestion in Massachusetts' Interstate-495 corridor, economic development is moving west of the Boston area to attractive towns, such as Sterling. Because this rapid development and in-migration can render a town unattractive, growth must be managed by town officials to preserve the town's attractiveness and to help reach sustainability. This IQP presents a system dynamics model and ideas regarding the paradox of attraction to aid in policy and decision making in the town.
