open in viewerDNA fingerprinting is a growing technology which is greatly changing law enforcement. The purpose of this project was to investigate this new technology, and to determine its impact on society by analyzing court cases and the ethics of DNA databases. Chapter one presents background information about DNA profiling and fingerprints, chapter two presents methodology on collecting DNA samples. Chapters three and four give information about landmark and sensational court cases, respectively. Chapter five discusses the use and ethics of DNA databases. Chapter six, describes the report conclusion.
