MONDAY FEBRUARY 24 1947 Went to Chicago on the 10 oclock rocket. With Harry Boyle wrote a letter to Charley Stone and sent a copy to Charley Wiman who is in Chile. The letter told of Russell Acton of IH wanting to be my understudy. He has been in Patent Department of IH for the past 18 years and lately has been doing some reaseach development work along the lines I'm trying to do. He has had to do with tractors ~ I had quite a long conference with F.M. Wallace of Northern Trust Co in relation to the O.C. Koehler Estate. I signed %815.00 of "G" bonds to be redeemed at the next interest date of each bond. (Tuesday I sent Wallace a Certified Death certificate which is necessary) This will take about 6 months to recieve all the money.
