SATURDAY MARCH 8 1947 This morning we exchanged one of our general Electric Blankets for a new one at the Iowa Ill Power Co. for $1700, and for the same amount got a new one that Elises mother had. They are now blue in color. Glad to get this done as our blankets had rather given out and Elise & I find great comfort in them. On Blackhawk Hike in afternoon going with the Getz's. 41/2 miles beyond Illinois City in Drury Township. Dr & Mrs Bergendorff led the hike up & down very very steep hills. A fine hike ~~
