24 WEDNESDAY January 24 Clear Drove to Waterloo with Harold White. We had conference with Harold White about allocation of HX tractors. After meeting our recommendation is 7 old HX tractors ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4 for Tractor Works for test 1 Moline with power lift 1 St. Louis " "" loaned 1 Dallas " " " loaned ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 7 new HX ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4 for Tractor Works 2 for Moline to sell 1 for Dallas to sell with power lift. It looks as though 3 A tractors would be built by Feb 10 and production start about Feb 15 and power lifts would come a week or 10 days after this. 2 HX tractors will be sent over to Dallas & St. Louis from Phoenix in about a month, and power lifts ready then. We are to have a record of tractors kept and suggested giving the farmers 25 cents per report. We to keep a special man for the Moline tractor to see it is kept going. Cost of Apower lift 1750 -125 salvage for cover.
