Thursday, December 15, 1938 Wrote Hugo today - With Charley Wiman 3 1/2 hrs this afternoon going over various matters. "Superfinish" to be handled by Engineering Dept. Endorsed gears for Van Brunt. Max Sklowsky brought up the subject by saying Van Brunt were not sold on the job yet, and claimed that we had turned the job over to them as a completed one. Paul & I told Wiman that was no so for Van Brunt worked with us to a point where they said they wanted to carry on the work themselves. VanBrunt have not entered into the job very well as they dont know about this kind of manufacture. They will have to get used to it for that is the trend nowadays. Also talked at length on the tractor situation. Invited for dinner by the Rosenfields for dinner at Fort Armstrong & movie later
