Image 39 of Theo Brown Diaries, 1938
Public DepositedMonday, January 17, 1938 A snow storm last night and snow more or less all day. Amy left at 1100 this morning. I found a snow shovel that is used throughout New England and had one mailed to Moline. [Sketch: Shovel] Elise and I went to the Whittalls for lunch. Percy and Dick Heywood and Debbie were there. Percy was much impressed with Elises looks and said so. It was so good to see Percy and to feel how very much it seemed to mean to him that we came. He is very kindly. He brought out two books I had made for him in 1925 & 1930 which he said was his very dear possesion. Mary Allen called in afternoon. Elise Jr left at 508. By evening a lot of snow fell. With Kate & Roger went to the Alex Bullocks for dinner. We stayed till 930. Then Kate & Roger took us to mothers for our suit cases and then to the train. A wonderful visit here.
