Thursday, June 4, 1931 Clear/Cloudy Iowa Lourie drove to Masonville^ to see a four row cultivator on the farm of F.H.Childs. He planted 360 acres with an integral outfit and I got a very good check. He was cultivating when we arrived and was doing a good job and was much pleased witht he outfit. He said that in buying the outfit he was not so much impressed with our equipment. He is sold on the 4 row outfit now. We drove to Waterloo and saw McCornick & Randall. They seem to be making progress slowly. On way home saw 125 single tow cultivators and 15-2 row horse drawn & 3 Farmalls.
