THURSDAY MARCH 4 1948 Went over to see the grandchildren this noon. It is so pleasant to find them so glad to see me come, altho the ice cream I brought may have had something to do with it. They were playing at getting married to each other and they wheeled their baby buggy with two dolls over to me and asked me to take care of their babies while they were on their honeymoon. In evening met with Walter Eda & Oty to set minimum prices on the furniture etc stored at Merchants transfer so we can try to sell it soon. Otty thought it might be possible to sell the lot to Marshall Field & Co. She is to see the man from there next time he comes to the Outing CLub. Saw Mrs Mumford & John Vander Pyl at the Davenport Club where Elise & I had dinner.
