Elise and I did not go to church. We called on Karl & Jane Vollmer who are with Karl & Paula for a day or two. Then we got Elises mother bringing her here for dinnner. Later we three went to the opening of the Tri-City Artist's exhibit at the Davenport Museum. Bill's portrait of me and his painting "In the Park at Dijon" (which got Honorable Mention). Many people told us Bill's work was the strongest there. Then after taking Elises mother home we went to the Stone's for a cocktail party given for the Cornish's (Mary McGrail) A busy weekend --
