Wednesday, March 5, 1941 Clear/Rain [Headlines:Amarillo Daily News;World News] We went to bed in Kansas City and today have passed thru Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. In New Mexico the height of land is reach at Corona 6666ft It is a drab country here in New Mexico and one wonders how a living can be made by any one. It is dry, with almost no vegitation. The air is clear and there was a gorgeos sun set. Reached El Paso at 10 P.M. Elise and I relaxed and had a real rest. The double bed room is a very good way to travel.
