FRIDAY OCT. 21 1949 Today we had Wayne Worthington, Barrett Rich, Maurise Fraher, Jim Wormley, Burt Peek, Pat Murphy, Woody Curtis, Charlie Stone, Duke Rowland, Ken Anderson Bob Merrill, Myron, Barton, Chuck Morrison, and our crew all in field today with new tractor. First we ran the bedder. Worthington, Rich, Wormley all drove the outfit as they did the cultivator vegetable planter and cultivator and plow. Everyone took time to go into the demonstration carefully and we were in the field 4 hours. I think everyone was much impressed that this tractor and its equipemnt has a great deal of merit It is a big step to consider so great a change and naturally all wasn to be sure the idea is basically sound. It may be that a comparison between this tractor and the Ford will be given to some outsider to make a careful report on after comprehensive tests in the field. I showed the movies to the men The plow made a particular hit. The tractor and tools really behaved wonderfully well!
