Tuesday, August 18, 1931 Clear Rather warm today. Most of the day in getting odd jobs done. An electric heater equipped with longer cord. The Ford new shackle bolts put in, etc. Called on Dorothy Jarvis in afternoon, she showed us some wonderful photogrraphs she had taken. Took pictures of the Smiths house & left the film for them. Went to see aunt Helen Merriam in the evening. She is a wonderful lady. She says she loves us all. [Cards: drawing of lady in gown, Mrs Brown]
